Cash/Treasury Accountant

An opportunity to join Wales’s largest independent finance house is now available for a motivated and hardworking individual here at Henry Howard Finance. As one of the UK’s leading finance provider for SMEs, we are looking for a professional who will reinforce our company values and support our rapid growth plans.

Reporting to our Financial Controller, you will interact with heads of department from across the business in order to maximise the added value of the treasury function.  In our fast-paced, growing environment you will have an opportunity to make a significant impact on the department’s objectives and contribute to the wider success of the business.

 Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage and own day to day corporate cash position to maximise efficiency of funding
  • Liaison with funders and investors, as appropriate to ensure seamless processing of cash/funding positions
  • Manage cashflow reporting and forecasting on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Manage and analyse funded/non-funded positions to maximise corporate position
  • Manage and report any funder covenant positions
  • Liaise with relevant business leads to pre-empt funding needs and manage cash position accordingly
  • Lead provision of data to funders, including potential new sources of funding
  • Lead implementation of new funding sources ensuring processes/reporting/analytics are fit for purpose

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant/progressing towards (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
  • Cash Management/Treasury experience
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to understand and orientate around complex structures
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to multi task and re prioritise tasks throughout the day, effectively managing conflicting priorities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with all stakeholders
  • Works as part of a team and independently, demonstrating co-operation and flexibility
