Henry Howard Finance has secured an extra £4m in funding, allowing it to significantly increase its lending capacity. In the last financial year, the Newport-based business has loaned more than £30m to SMEs and hopes to increase this to £40m in the forthcoming

year. Mark Crook, managing director of Henry Howard Finance, said he believed the company could benefit from a lack of lending from banks.“Despite a real push by the government to encourage high street banks to lend more, it is clear that they have, in fact, shrunk their lending this year,” he added.

Once again, employees at HHF have excelled themselves with a number of fund-raising events in support of the BBC Children in Need appeal. Among the many activities such as raffles, sponsorship, baking and donations the highlight of the day was employees Joe Watkins and James Brown dressing-up as Maid Marian and an Elf respectively. Megan Ennis, a member of the fund-raising team said, “we raised £273 by having a great deal of fun and most importantly supporting a very good cause. We’re all very grateful to those people who showed their support”.

Following the successful installation of new soft play equipment at ‘Wookey Hole’ in Somerset, Director Daniel Medley expressed his satisfaction concerning his dealings with HENRY HOWARD FINANCE and the professional manner in which the £80K plus facility was funded. Having recently become disillusioned with the banks, Daniel was particularly impressed with the management of the funding process. “From the initial introductions, it was refreshing to note the difference in approach. Communication was quick and before I knew it, HHF were advising me to proceed with installation. What a change from my previous experience with finance providers. I can honestly say, I would gladly recommend HENRY HOWARD FINANCE to anyone asking for my opinion. In fact, we are currently speaking to them about further investments – says it all!”.

Wookey Hole is a popular tourist attraction near Wells, Somerset providing a number of attractions including famous caves, a circus, ‘prehistoric ice age valley’, and other family attractions.

HENRY HOWARD FINANCE recently attended the NISA Today’s annual exhibition at Stoneleigh, Nr Coventry. The show provided Suppliers, the Convenience Store environment and Wholesalers the opportunity to share their knowledge and products over the two-day event. HHF was represented by Bernard Alderson, National Account Manager to NISA Today’s members. “Our presence at the show proved to be a real winner, with current and new clients spending time at our stand to discuss our services. I was particularly pleased to receive feedback from clients who appreciated our support, now benefiting from increased business. The added bonus is this type of experience is being conveyed by our clients to other business leaders through word of mouth, enhancing our reputation for funding. The show was managed very professionally from start to finish, so I must convey my congratulations to NISA Today’s for a well-organised event.”

HHF is the ‘approved provider’ of funding to NISA Today’s members.
