Henry Howard Finance (HHF) is supporting the Country Food Trust, a food distribution charity that helps to feed people in need, by signing up to become a corporate sponsor for the year.
Established in 2015, the Country Food Trust makes high quality protein food, that it donates to charities who feed people in need. Last year, Country Food provided more than 20,000 meals to people across the UK and is on schedule to produce 100,000 meals in 2017. It has an ambitious target to feed one million people living in food poverty by 2020.
Country Food also sells its produce online and at fairs, country shows and music events to consumers, with every penny made reinvested back into the charity.
“Strong, charitable ethos”
Howard Ross, executive chairman and co-founder of HHF, said: “There is an estimated 14 million people living in poverty in the UK, having to make the difficult choice between food, clothes or warmth every day.
“We have a strong charitable ethos at HHF and are committed to giving something back to the communities in which we operate. We were keen to support the Country Food Trust as it does such a fantastic job helping those in need. As we approach Christmas, a time where many of us get together with friends and family over food, it’s important to take a moment to think of those who are less fortunate.”
